Tradition Meets Passion

In addition to stationery, Marta & Paul produces lovingly handcrafted notebooks, albums, and games.

These items are not just products but expressions of the owners’ deep passion, often driven more by love than profit.

Dörte sees her work as a continuation of a long-standing tradition.

Over a century ago, Paul Reich and his sister Marta, namesakes of the shop, opened their print workshop in Friedrichshain’s Samariterkiez neighborhood.

Over the decades, they amassed a treasure trove of printing plates, which Dörte and her partner Jan now preserve and honor.

This historical aesthetic infuses every corner of Marta & Paul, from the vintage-inspired shop design to the products themselves. It’s a rare blend of history, artistry, and craftsmanship, making the store a truly special destination for anyone strolling through Friedrichshain.
