Flindt & Ørsted - enchanted Café in picturesque Ørsted Park
A short stroll, an extensive walk with the dog or a daily jogging route through the city park – all become even more delightful with a cup of coffee, an ice-cold drink or a tasty snack.
All this comes together at Flindt & Ørsted in Copenhagen’s Ørstedparken.
A romantic English Garden
Ørstedsparken, designed by landscape gardener Henrik August Flindt at the end of the 19th century, is dedicated to the Danish naturalist Ørsted.
This beautiful park, styled like an English garden, is one of Copenhagen’s beloved green oases.
For us, a picnic in the city park beautifully combines the culinary variety of a metropolis with the charm of a countryside outing.
Pastel sunshades and a cozy conservatory
The idyllic café "Flindt & Ørsted," perched on a gentle hill with a view over the lake, offers not only a chance to stock up on delicious treats for our own picnic on the lawn, but also inviting spots under pastel-striped umbrellas.
And if the picnic is meant to be a bit more extensive, the Torvehallerne with their abundant selection are not far away. This way, we can expand our Flindt & Ørsted haul on our picnic blanket with whatever culinary delights we desire.
When the weather turns chilly, the cozy conservatory is the perfect place to enjoy a warm cinnamon bun while gazing out at the romantic park.
That’s why the charming Flindt & Ørsted is one of our favorite spots in Copenhagen year-round, whether we’re escaping the summer sun under the shade of the trees or warming up with a coffee on a crisp autumn day.
