Coffee Collective - Copenhagen's award-winning brews

Peter, Claus and Caspar are the three founders of Coffee Collective.

Driven by their passion for exceptionally good coffee, their commitments include sustainability from the coffee farm to the coffee cup and fair trade through close collaboration with farmers.

Despite their achievements, including winning the World Barista Championship and the World Cup Tasting Championships, they remain humble, letting their coffee speak for itself in the best possible way.

Since 2007, the three have been personally running Coffee Collective.

Peter oversees sourcing and sustainability and is in constant contact with their farmers.

Klaus, the World Barista Champion, ensures quality at the espresso machine.

Caspar is in charge of the in-house roastery.

Together, they’re the perfect team and the result is eight  wonderful Coffee Collective locations across Copenhagen.

Sometimes it's a stand amidst the lively market atmosphere of Torvehallerne, where we set down our bags overflowing with Danish treats and pause for a perfect brew.

Sometimes it’s a quiet moment of calm in the glass-roofed Bernikow Gården passage – a bright retreat even on grey days.

And when the weather is kind, we sit outside on the sunny terrace of their Jægersborggade café.

They always seem to be in the perfect place to offer us a great cup of coffee at just the right moment.

On a woven table at Coffee Collective, a cup of coffee with latte art sits next to a white plate holding a glazed cinnamon roll.

Accompanying the coffee, there are fine sweet pastries or the classic sourdough roll with whipped, salted butter and cheese.

For those who are particularly fond of the latter, a larger selection can be found at the Coffee Collective Bakery on Nørrebrogade, in northwest Copenhagen.

Here, bread, buns and cakes are baked on site – fresh doesn’t get fresher.

Naturally, all of it comes with their freshly roasted coffee and the easygoing Coffee Collective vibe.
