Atelier September - artsy Café with perfect danish Breakfast
in short…
Frederik Bille Brahe's Daytime Cooking
here we get the perfect Danish breakfast - fresh sourdough bread, cheese, blueberry jam and a soft-boiled egg
we can't get enough of - Madeleines, warm from the oven
“Daytime cooking” is how Frederik Bille Brahe describes what he does at Atelier September - and it fits perfectly.
Here, we can have breakfast all day, a light lunch or an early evening snack before moving on to dinner.
In this case, it's wonderful to stroll from Atelier September through the royal park, past Rosenborg Castle, to our favourite restaurant, Selma.
Whipped butter and warm Madeleines
Atelier September is a bright and beautiful place to meet friends or enjoy the friendly atmosphere alone.
One of the first sights in this charming café with its large windows is the plate with a huge mound of appetizing whipped butter on the counter of the open kitchen.
Small portions of this butter, along with freshly baked sourdough bread, Comté cheese, blueberry jam and a soft-boiled egg, make their way to the guests' plates – a classic Danish breakfast.
When all the ingredients of the simple meal are of high quality, this breakfast is simply perfect.
And that’s exactly how it is at Atelier September.
This high quality also extends to their porridge, omelets, pancakes and warm Madeleines fresh from the oven.
The incredibly friendly team crafts delicious cappuccinos from their elegant La Marzocco machine.
Avocado Toast and Danish Pastry
Morgenmad, as the Danes call it, is the kind of breakfast that can set the tone for the whole day. At Atelier September, it’s where our mornings often start just a little brighter.
The delicious avocado on rye bread is just right for a midday pick-me-up.
And the fine pastries - one of our favourites is the creamy Spandauer - make for the loveliest sweet indulgence in the afternoon.
For those who are disappointed when all the seats at Kronprinsessegade are taken - you can try for a table at the outpost in Nordhavn or the sister café in Hellerup.
